The story
...with the aim of promoting a cultural activity and more precisely a singing competition dedicated to me, I am extremely happy and excited to take part in the initiative and therefore authorise the Promoting Committee .... I further authorise the establishment of a Foundation or Association which has as its non-profit making purpose the future organisation of cultural events related to the performance of singing competitions in the opera sector and, generally speaking, classical music competitions dedicated to myself as a person and artist..."
Promotion Committee
The following is the group of Ms. Tebaldi’s closest San Marino friends who, authorised by her, since June 2004 have worked to create and set up the Competition and subsequently the “Renata Tebaldi Foundation”.
Renata Tebaldi Foundation
Established on 30 December 2004 with the approval of Ms. Tebaldi and legally recognised on 27 January 2005, its purpose is to protect and strengthen the great Artist’s memory and name in the world. The Foundation is non-profit making and pursues its objectives through the promotion of cultural and musical activities of various kinds, but prevalently through the International Singing Competition and Concerts. The Foundation is supported financially by contributions, sponsorships, donations, voluntary aid and promotional activities organised specifically for this purpose by the Foundation. The Artistic Committee, together with the Organizing one, deals with the conception, promotion and organization of the International Competition, as well as of all the other activities done by the Foundation.
